The action will be in support of workers' right to unionize.

This years theme "Workers Organizing to end Corporate Greed!" goes hand in hand with the celebration of Cesar Chavez vision and Legacy. We will all unite in North Sacramento with Aproximetly 5,000 people to march through the streets of Sacramento and the capitol to show all the unity of the UNION!!! We will also pass though the Blue Diamond factory and show support for the workers that are struggling to Unionize, and creating an action of sit downs to stop flow of things going in and out of the factory.

We are going to set up a field of big cardboard tomatoes on a high traffic area on our campus. The biggest ones will have facts about the campaign and the worker’s lives written on them. We will also have silhouettes of the workers within the field of cardboard tomatoes. This will be up from noon till 3pm, we will be there tabling, Handing out information, and talking to people about the issue. 4/2- At the moment, our school’s Labor Research center is being threatened with being shut down due to budget cuts. We are fighting to keep it open. We will have an open house from 11:30 am to 4pm. There will be food and live music, as well as many community and campus groups who will be tabling.
