Washington, D.C. — After six weeks on the picket lines, the 39,000 brave men and women who work at Verizon are one step closer to a contract that values their work and their families.
“This resolution underscores the power of working people coming together with one voice for a fair return on the job,” said Sarita Gupta, Executive Director of Jobs with Justice. “Our local coalitions have been honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with striking Verizon employees for the past six weeks, and will continue to have their backs until a contract is finalized.”
