In the past few days, a Sallie Mae instagram was created that said if you were one of the first 150,000 people to follow them they’d forgive your student debt.
Unfortunately, not today.
This is a fake account. It’s important that you do not share any personal information with them or any information about your student loans. For those that have followed our campaign, you know that Sallie Mae is a publicly-traded corporation. They don’t have the ability to forgive federal student debt, and if they were going to forgive any debt, we promise, we’d tell you.
