In response to President Trump’s final and planned executive orders to build a border wall, strip federal funding from sanctuary cities, and bar predominantly Muslim refugees from entering the country, Jobs With Justice Executive Director Sarita Gupta issued the following statement:
“These executive orders are yet another attempt to divide our country and sow baseless fear against immigrant and Muslim communities. But as these orders threaten to destabilize our communities, we are reminded that the fight for justice must always begin at home. Across the country, the Jobs With Justice network will hold the line and resist efforts to dehumanize our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We will take decisive action because we know that when we stand in solidarity, we can beat back hatred, fear, and oppression, and build a new future together.”
